Murder that cannot be solved

With a firm grip, they are to execute the decisions continuously made by the true power holders, with the aim of realizing the plan and strategy that have been worked on for over a hundred years. With the advancements in weapons and communication over the past fifty years, the president has become involved and instrumental in real-time assassination operations. The president who doesn't cooperate according to the plans becomes an impossible president - with all the consequences that would entail.

Starting from Ronald Reagan, the military's and the CIA's influence over the presidency has strengthened. Reagan chose former CIA chief George H.W. Bush as vice president. Bush succeeded William E. Colby as CIA chief in January 1976 but resigned a year later when Democrat Jimmy Carter took office as president. The CIA chief eventually appointed under Carter resigned in turn when Reagan took office. Then, William J. Casey was appointed, who served as the CIA chief from Reagan's inauguration until January 1987. After Reagan, Bush himself became president for one term, followed by his son, George W. Bush, for two terms.

Ronald Reagan campaigned with a neoliberal economic policy, but due to his age and superstition, he was weak against the forces that controlled behind the scenes. During the nineties, Reagan started developing Alzheimer's, and his Chief of Staff, Donald Regan, wrote in his memoir:

"Virtually every major move and decision the Reagans made during my time as White House Chief of Staff was cleared in advance with a woman in San Francisco who drew up horoscopes to make certain that the planets were in a favorable alignment for the enterprise." (Donald Regan, For the Record: From Wall Street to Washington).

Reagan was president when Olof Palme was assassinated, and it might appear that at least Halley's Comet was in a favorable position for an assassination, as the comet was occulting a star named Dabih (Arabic: the butcher) precisely that night.

Today, some wonder what role Stay-Behind might have played in a conspiracy against Palme. Both in Italy and in Germany and Belgium, Stay-Behind has been involved in political assassinations, and Colby, the CIA chief succeeded by Bush, was the one who established Stay-Behind in Sweden in the post-war period.
